My Own still-life
Unit 3: All About Value and Shading
Students are continuing to train their eye's to transfer our 3D world onto a piece of drawing paper and this time around, adding the different types of light to create realistic drawings. Practice makes perfect! First students will create observational drawings of simple shapes. Then, as a class, we will fold origami cranes and other creations to use as our still-life objects. Be sure to include the different types of light (cast shadow, core shadow, mid-tones, reflected light, and highlight) in your very own origami still-life!
